Emotron supplies onshore power in Visby harbour
Visby harbour has chosen to depend on Emotron drives for the shore power supply of its mainland ferries. The challenge: To deliver 2x1.8MW, 10.7 kV, and 60Hz to three different quays. Emotron supplied the power conversion equipment consisting of a frequency converter in low harmonic execution and a cooling system. Specialized software balances voltage load during ship synchronization and handles rapid load changes on the ship.

Claes Bjäreholt will be the new CEO for CG Drives & Automation Sweden AB. Claes has previously worked as a CEO for Smurfit Kappa Sweden & Finland, Rexam Beverage Cans (today Ball) and within the Nolato group.

CG Drives and Automation has developed a brand new control panel for FDU/VFX Drives. The new control panel communicates via both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi making it possible to upload parameters or download data from your AC Drive remotely through a fully compatible app.
